The Battle of the Bars Pool League had a surprising and exciting finish. Que?Pasa went into the playoffs the number one seed and promptly lost to the last seed, Assaderos One.
Assaderos One went on to play in the championship final against fourth seed, Bill's Bar. Bill's Bar won but only on the last ball of the last game.
It was a great evening of pool.

The pool league party was held at Bill' Bar February 16.
They did a great job as hosts providing live music, great food, and an exciting round robin of pool play.
The Spring league will be starting up in the next couple of weeks. Come and participate - we always have a great time.

Has anyone noticed that that derelict truck that has been parked in front of Que?Pasa for four years is finally gone?
Somebody actually bought the junk heap. I hear Reyes brokered the deal and got paid handsomely.

Now just when it seemed that the parking in front of Que?Pasa had doubled, someone parked another derelict in almost the same place. Rumor is that Luis and Reyes are somehow involved in some crazy scheme to increase their tips.
If you have any information about who owns that jeep there is a reward being offered.

The Individual Double Elimination Pool Tournament returns to Que?Pasa.
After many requests for its return we finally scheduled it until further notice on Sundays at 2:00 pm.
Valentines Day was its kick-off and we had a great turn-out.
The first winner was Vegas Mickey who took home 500 pesos.

Valentines Day was also the inauguration of Que?Pasa's Traditional Sunday Dinner.
Every Sunday afternoon Que?Pasa will be serving that kind of meal you got when you visited grandmas'. The first Sunday we served Prime Rib and February 21 we will be serving Meat Loaf.
The next two Sundays respectively we will serve Roast Turkey and Baked Ham. Then we get to start all over with the Prime Rib again.
Each dinner gets the right mixture of potatoes, gravy, dressings, and veggies and we guarantee to satisfy the heartiest of appetites.

Its amazing how many people haven't noticed! The 2nd bar at Que?Pasa - the bar we always referred to as Reyes' Bar - is gone. In one day it was transformed to rock and ruble and sent to the dump. In its place we have another big screen high definition TV and a lot more tables.
The most exciting difference is that the pool tables are now end to end which cuts out all those obstacle shots with the pillars and window bars. Now I have to come up with a whole new group of excuses for why I missed that shot.
Not a problem. I'm great with the excuses.

Following some customers requests we have recently added Setant TV to our satellite program guide in order to show the English Soccer League. The last two Sundays Que?Pasa opened an hour early on Sunday so the English soccer fans could watch those all important games. As long as there are people who want to watch the games we will continue to open early.

Employee of the Month

Blanca

Blanca

We are so lucky to have Blanca! Blanca has been around the bar restaurant scene of Vallarta for years and she had served me at various establishments. I was always impressed with her service. So a few months ago when she showed up and asked for a job it was a no brainer. The result was better than I anticipated. On our busiest nights Blanca has everything under control providing our customers with the best possible service.
I love to watch her work.
Thanks for everything Blanca-now-get to work.

Louis (Louie)

Louis, pronounced like Louie, has been hovering over Que?Pasa for the last few months. New to Puerto Vallarta this year Louis has quickly made a place in our hearts. Usually the first customer in the morning and quite regularly the last at night. Always ready for a pool game or a friendly chat. He has a thousand stories and I have yet heard him repeat himself. Singlehandedly his voracious thirst for white wine has made our day bar a big success. He's a funny guy and we are glad he is here. So who is that guy Louis? Next time you are at Que?Pasa, order your drink, then turn around quickly, and he is that guy hovering right behind you.

bar
Que?Pasa, a bar of our own, serving the Vallarta community since 2004, is owned and operated by long-time Vallarta residents Tom Schmitt and Michael Hayes. Que?Pasa's mission is to provide the local resident an alternative to the glitter, hype, and prices of the tourist establishments.
Que?Pasa belongs to you the customer; those people who think of Vallarta as more than a vacation destination. We listen to what our customers want in a bar and a restaurant. The result is a meeting place that incorporates the natural, relaxing outside patio dining with an area protected from the sun and rain. We provide great food made only with the freshest ingredients at an affordable price. We are committed to bringing you the best of the local music scene with a different live band four nights a week and plenty of room for dancing or just sitting back and relaxing in Vallarta's starlit evening. Every Friday we give venue to the non-professional musicians among us with an open mic where you can play your instrument alone or jam with other locals. We provide regular pool tournaments, dart competitions and lots of games. For Sports or movies we have big screen High Definition TV's. We have a lending library at no cost to our customer of both books and movies regularly renewed with different titles. We always have specials - lots of specials on both food and drinks. At Que?Pasa we celebrate birthdays, anniversarys, weddings, or just another great day in paradise.
